Career Coaching

How do we get started?

You can schedule a free consultation by clicking here. We’ll chat and figure out whether we’re a good match for each other. If so, we can discuss next steps such as choosing a coaching approach that makes sense for you, scheduling our first session, and completing my Welcome Packet.

What’s the time commitment?

What you put into it is what you’ll get out of it! I recommend a one-time first meeting that is 90 minutes long to “jump start” our work together. After that, I recommend meeting twice a month for 50 minutes each session. This allows us to build momentum and give you time in between to reflect and take action.

The number of sessions you’ll need is dependent on your goals and your situation. A minimum average range to consider is: 5-6 sessions to optimize your job search and 10-12 sessions to identify what’s next in your career, but it really is up to you.

In between our sessions you’ll most likely have “homework” and “next steps” to complete. You’ll accelerate your ability to reach your goals if you do the exercises, homework, and reflection in between our calls. The time investment is truly up to you.

How do we get together for our sessions? How and when do we meet?

My office hours are during regular business hours, typically Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm Central Time. I do reserve time slots for those needing to schedule sessions during their lunch hour.

I coach primarily over the phone for my individual career coaching clients. This allows us to use our time efficiently as well as create a unique focus between us.

What is my expected investment?

Coaching is an investment in yourself: your personal growth, your happiness and a commitment to reaching your big goals. When you agree to coach with me, you are committing to change and an ongoing partnership. This partnership can be as long or as short as you want; we design it together.

Most of the time, it’s impossible to predict at the outset how much time it will take. Therefore, I don’t require you to commit to a certain length of time for our coaching. I want you to want to show up to each session and feel that you are gaining immense value every time we coach! I’m happy to share pricing info when we chat.

How do I pay you?

I accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover and you provide me with your credit card information in a safe and secure way. We’ll agree on how many coaching sessions you’d like each month, and I’ll invoice and run your credit card for the agreed-upon amount via QuickBooks monthly.

Have you coached someone in my situation before?

I’ve coached with hundreds of professionals, each with a unique set of circumstances.

I enjoy supporting professionals who are committed to making a change in their work or their life.  This could be a career or job change, a leadership change, or a lifestyle change. The people I coach often have an idea of what they want, but they are too stuck to recognize it. We work both on getting unstuck and uncovering what it is you really want.

I work with a lot of people in the advertising and marketing business because I speak the same language and have “lived it” for many years. I also coach professionals outside of that industry. My coaching expertise and tools transcend industries; they are about how to help you see your gifts/strengths as well as see the obstacles that might be getting in the way of achieving what you want.

Feel free to read through my testimonials  to see if any of my past clients’ comments resonate with you!

What if the coaching relationship is not the right fit for me?

I want my clients to be raving fans of our time together!

We’ll build a partnership together where we both create what success looks like and how you want to get there. I create an environment where we discuss this openly and revisit your experience often. If you’re unhappy with our coaching at any point, we can stop. I will not require you to commit to a certain number of sessions; I want you to feel you are receiving value from each and every one.

Executive/Leadership Coaching

Who do you coach?

I coach professionals in the marketing/advertising industries to be the leader they want to be.  For example, maybe you just got promoted and you want to navigate what that means and how you want to establish your leadership. Or perhaps you’ve gotten some feedback and you don’t know how to act on it to make changes. Or maybe you’re someone who’s very goal-oriented and you want to plan that next, big move in your career. Our coaching can help you gain clarity on what you want, clear the obstacles in your path, and get to the place you want to be.

What about teams?

I love working with groups to figure out how to move forward together. We’ll take a look at your current dynamics and understand what you want to be different so we can create that change in a long-lasting way. Often, examining (or even creating) your company’s mission, values, and goals can be a great guide. Each engagement is customized to meet your unique situation.

Do you use any assessments?

I’m a certified practitioner of The Leadership Circle®, a leading 360 assessment for individuals and organizations. I use this tool because it brings opportunity areas to the surface instantly and provides the data in a visual way that’s easier to understand. This assessment puts leaders and teams in touch with what’s working, what’s not, and why. Using this assessment accelerates our coaching to get to the heart of the matter more quickly and deeply. It’s a great way to jump-start our coaching relationship.

Working Parents

Why focus on working parents?

The advertising business is tough…and rewarding! We give our all to our work and that usually means long hours. When we become parents (or even think about becoming parents), we wonder how we can still survive at home and at work. There are big choices and changes we need to make and it can be a challenge.

My coaching and programs for working parents help you navigate those changes and feel more in control of making the hard choices. You’ll be able to make better-informed decisions about what’s right for you and your family, based on your unique goals and values.

How do I know which program is right for me?

If you’re a parent looking for support, you can choose from individual coaching or the Mothers@Agencies group coaching program.

If you’re an HR professional or Agency Leader, you can invite mamas to join our next Mothers@Agencies cohort or support parents and their managers through an agency-wide initiative with the Parents@Agencies program.  I also offer customized workshops on this topic.
